Dennis Ryan's Obituary
Dennis Ryan, 62, of Clinton, IA, died Saturday, December 1, 2007 at his home following an extended illness. Visitation will be at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A short prayer will follow the visitation.
Dennis was born on Tuesday, July 24, 1945, in Ryan, IA; the son of William and Avis (Ruemmele) Ryan. He married Karen Bates on November 24, 1973 in Clinton, Iowa. Dennis was a member and worked at the Eagles Club for 15 years as janitor. He previously was employed for Arnie Wilkens Plumbing and Heating, the Smith Service Station and the Longhorn Saloon. Dennis enjoyed the gambling boat, spending time with his granddaughter Kylee and his dog OZ.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Ryan of Clinton, IA; sons, Jeff W. Ryan of Clinton, IA
And Fred Ryan of Clinton, IA; granddaughter, Kylee; sisters, Beverly (Mick) Burke of Walker; Rae Ellen (Lester) Lyness of Ryan; Sandra (Al) Miller of Clarence; Linda (Tom) Scherbring of Manchester; Patricia (Gerald) Lyness of Ryan; Jean (John) Avis of Cedar Rapids; and brother, Thomas Ryan of Ryan.
He was preceded in his parents. Memorials may be made to the family.
