Dennis Mahoney's Obituary
Dennis F. Mahoney, 62, of Clinton, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory on Friday, June 13, 2008 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, in Clinton, IA. Dennis was born on December 22, 1945, in Clinton, IA, the son of Daniel and Catherine (Dixon) Mahoney. He was a 1964 Clinton High School graduate. He was a United States Army Vietnam War veteran. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, Eagles Club, and the Bowlers Association. He enjoyed playing pool, bowling, cribbage tournaments, and teasing his many nieces and nephews, amongst others. Survivors include one brother, David (Marlene) Mahoney of Washington, MO; three sisters, Patricia Sparks of Clinton; Mary Kay (Harold) Newkirk of Corpus Christi, TX, and Elizabeth (Tom) Luce of Claremore, OK; one aunt, Nellie Grossman of Clinton; one special niece, Danelle Clark of Clinton, and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, one nephew, and 2 nieces.
