Denise L. Force's Obituary
Denise L. Force, 63, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away, Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Genesis Medical Center – East.
Memorial Services will be 10:30am, Friday, November 24, 2023, at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30am to the service time Friday at the funeral home.
Denise Lorraine Goers was born on January 16, 1960, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Doris (Lauritsen) Goers. She was a 1978 graduate of Clinton High School, attended and graduated Clinton Community College in 1980, and graduated from St. Ambrose University in 1982 with a degree in Computer Science. She married Philip Force on October 17, 2015, in Bettendorf.
Denise was employed at the Thermos Company, Newell Rubbermaid, and at John Deere as a SAP EDI and Workflow Business Analyst, retiring in 2020.
Denise was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bettendorf. Denise was fond of weekends at their cabin where she enjoyed fishing and rides in their golf cart, antiquing, and the occasional trip to the casino. But she most loved spending time with Phil.
Denise is survived by her husband: Philip of Bettendorf, his children: Philip Force of Davenport, Ryan Force of Bettendorf, and Amber (Tim) Carnes of Fairbanks, Alaska; two grandchildren: Hunter and Zoey Carnes; her brother: David (Lynn) Goers of Morton, Illinois; nephew: Justin (Beth) Goers of Minneapolis, Minnesota; niece: Megan (Brad) Bomer of Pekin, Illinois; a great-nephew: Sam Goers. She was preceded in death by her parents.
