Debra L. Soenksen's Obituary
Debra L. Soenksen, 69, of Camanche passed away Monday, March 11, 2024 at her home in Camanche.
Memorial Services will be 4:30 pm, Thursday, March 14, 2024 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visiting time will be from 2:30 pm until the service time at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Debra Lynn Beckwith was born October 27, 1954 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Dwight and Shirley (Easley) Beckwith. She was in the 1974 graduating class of Clinton High School. She married Greg Soenksen on November 13, 1988 in Clinton, Iowa. She was the cook manager for 12 years at Clinton High School.
Deb enjoyed cooking, crafting and entertaining along with decorating and renovating her homes with her husband. She enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren. She will be remembered by her friends and family as a person that was always fun to be around, she had a positive attitude and was always smiling and was a friend to all. She was a lover of animals and loved her fur babies Shadow, Zoey and Chloe.
Deb is survived by her husband Greg of Camanche; her son Jason (Samantha) Soenksen of Clinton; six grandchildren: Havyn, Jason, Jr., Brynna, Kelson, Willow and Aspen; great grandson: Kason; siblings: Susan Sieh of Clearwater, Florida and Jeff (Vicki) Beckwith of Clinton; best friend of 55 years Rita Sheker of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Chad Soenksen and two brothers: Barry and David Beckwith.
Memorials may be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
