Debra L. Hess, 70, of Clinton passed away Friday, March 1, 2024 at her home.
Funeral Services will be privately held at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be next to her parents at Springdale Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Debra Lynn Hess was born March 11, 1953 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of William and Joan (Lorenz) Hess. She was a 1971 graduate of Clinton High School and worked at DuPont for more than 30 years, retiring in 2015 as a supervisor.
Debra enjoyed swimming and horseback riding while growing up. She was a Daddy’s girl and she talked about the love she had for her parents all through her life. She enjoyed decorating her home, landscaping and gardening and spending time with her family. Her family will remember her for many things but especially all Disney trips they took. She loved Disney.
She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Neese of Clinton; granddaughters: Kaitlin Neese of Camanche and Amber (Blake) Hynous of Sabula, Iowa; great grandchildren: Kaylee, Kinley, Klaire, and Kaiser; siblings: Bill (Helena) Hess of Clinton and Richard (Theresa) Hess of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; and her special dog companion Abby Rose.
Deb was preceded in death by her parents.
