David Joseph Rederer's Obituary
David Joseph Rederer, 72, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away, Friday, September 12, 2014 at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa. Services will be held at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 from 3 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
David was born May 12, 1942 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Vincent and Helen (Homer) Rederer. He married Doris Culver, April 27, 1968 in Clinton, Iowa.
David was a United States Air Force veteran.
David was a 1960 Clinton High School graduate and he attended Clinton Community College. He was employed as a Clinton police officer and Clinton County sheriff’s deputy for 33 ½ years, retiring in 2003.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Rederer of Clinton; son, Michael (Deniece) Rederer of Maquoketa, IA; daughter, Ann Raab of Clinton; 6 grandchildren; brother, James (Patricia) Rederer of Burnsville, MN; brother-in law, Lowell Starr of Thomson, IL; sister-in-Law, Darla (Brad) Meyer of Sabula, IA and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Carole; daughter-in-law, Barb; brother-in-law, Robert Culver and sister-in-law, Donna Starr.
