David A. Olsen's Obituary
David A. Olsen, 73, of Clinton passed away, Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center – Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Saturday at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery with Military Honors being conducted by the Clinton A.M.V.E.T.S. Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Staszewski, Jake Cinadr, John Staszewski, Brian Kroll, Chris Kroll, Randy Reinhart, Mark Olsen and Scott Kroll. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
David Alvin Olsen was born February 13, 1943 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Alvin and Loraine (Lass) Olsen. He was a 1961 graduate of Clinton High School. He married Barbara Reinhart on May 13, 1972 in Clinton, Iowa.
Dave served in the United States Airforce from 1962 to 1966. He worked for DuPont for 35 years retiring in 2001. He enjoyed walking his dog, mowing the lawn, and spending time with his family especially the time spent watching his grandsons play sports.
Dave is survived by his wife Barbara Olsen of Clinton; daughter Nicole (Brian) Kroll of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; two grandsons: Christopher and Scott Kroll; one sister Juli (John) Staszewski of Clinton; one brother: Mark (Kim) Olsen of Sioux City, Iowa; two brother-in-laws: Tim Reinhart of Clinton and Jack Reinhart of Cambridge, Wisconsin; two nieces: Katie Olsen of Naperville, Illinois and Sarah (John) Overstreet of Clinton; and one nephew: Matt (Jennifer) Staszewski of Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his parents-in-law.
