David Lee Martin's Obituary
David Lee Martin, 85 of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Monday at the Alverno, Clinton. Graveside services will be held at 10:30AM, Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Oakland Cemetery. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at snellzornig.com.
David was born April 5, 1935 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Felix and Alma (Hagen) Martin. He was a graduate of Clinton High School. David was a U. S. Air force veteran.
David married Margaret “Peg” Haire on October 29, 1983 in Clinton; she died June 23, 2010.
He owned and operated Auto Glass & Parts, Clinton, for many years retiring in 1995.
Survivors include his son, Alan David Martin of Clinton, Iowa; granddaughters, Natalie (Chris) Mooney of Phoenix, AZ and Melissa (Brad) Monson of Kansas City, KS and great grandchildren, Lucas Mooney and Nolan Monson.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jill; his parents and sisters, Joyce, Mary and infant sister Eilzabeth.
