David Farrell's Obituary
David Farrell, 80, of Clinton died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Bluff Terrace in Clinton. Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory assisted the family with the arrangements. David William Farrell was born on August 26, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of David W. and Evelyn (Swenson) Farrell. He was a Clinton High School graduate. He married Muriel Helberg on June 27, 1953 in Rice Lake, WI; she died on April 2, 1971. He later married Rose Lawrence on July 9, 1988 in Clinton; she died on November 7, 1999. He was a United States Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. David was employed with Chicago Northwestern Railroad as a freight car repairman for 20 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a free mason. He is survived by four children: Lynn (Larry) Mantz of Luzerne, IA, Lori Farrell of Iowa City, Kathleen Aubert of Rice Lake, WI and Michael Farrell of Rice Lake, WI; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and friend and caretaker Mary James of Fulton.
