David “Bear” J. Cale, 70, of Clinton, passed away, Monday, December 15, 2025 at MercyOne – Clinton.

David John Cale was born on November 16, 1955 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Frank and Frances (Walsh) Cale. He was a member of the class of 1974 at Davenport Central High School. He married Holly Cox on October 6, 1983 in Clinton.
Dave was employed with Telepromter in Rock Island before working for the cable company in Clinton for 41 years, retiring in 2020 at Mediacom. In his retirement he worked part time with Napa Auto Parts.
Dave was an avid Chicago Bears fan.
Dave is survived by his wife: Holly of Clinton; two daughters: Michelle (Jason) Miller of Winter Haven, Florida, and Faith (Javier) Limon of Sioux City, Iowa; 8 grandchildren; and his brothers: Richard Cale and James Cale. He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren.
