Dary W. Pietscher's Obituary
Dary W. Pietscher, 78, of Camanche, died Sunday May 17, 2015 at West Wing Place – DeWitt, Iowa.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am, Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church – Camanche. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Robertson, Harold Swartz, Mike May, Zach Paulsen, Andy Laake, Brett Cole, Karston Cole, and Rhett Burton. Dary Wendell Pietscher was born on February 23, 1937 in Clinton, the son of Walter and Hattie (Schlotfeldt) Pietscher. He was a 1955 graduate of DeWitt High School.
Dary was a self-employed contractor/carpenter for 43 years.
Dary was a past member of Immanuel Lutheran Church – Camanche, a member of the Camanche Police Reserves, past member of the Clinton Gyro Club, served on the Camanche School Board, member of the Parkinson’s Support Group in Clinton, and a former boardmember of the Clinton Baseball Club.
Dary is survived by his son: Charles (Anne) Pietscher of Keokuk, Iowa; two daughters: Melody Paulsen of Davenport, and Dr. Jorie (Jason) Shire of Swisher, Iowa, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and his brother: Rondo (Dorothy) Pietscher of Camanche, and friend Sharon Sloane. He was preceded in death by his brother Reed Pietscher, and one son: Dr. Del Pietscher.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Wisconsin Parkinson Foundation or Immanuel Lutheran Church – Camanche.
