Darlene Selser's Obituary
Darlene F. Selser, 73, of Clinton, passed away, Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Mercy Living Center – South.
Graveside Services will be 2:00pm, Monday, June 15, 2015 at the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Darlene F. Shirley was born on August 14, 1941 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard and Ethel (Burmester) Shirley. She attended Clinton High School. She married James A. Selser, Sr., on December 15, 1972 in Morrison, Illinois.
Darlene was a machine operator with Carlon for 28 years retiring in 2001.
Darlene enjoyed knitting, fishing, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
Darlene is survived by her husband: James Selser, Sr. of Clinton, two sons: Barry (Darlene) Wiedeman of Louisiana, and James A. (Tracy) Selser, Jr., of Clinton; two daughters: Debra Kaye (John) Deackman of Darlington, Wisconsin, and Jan April (Leon, Sr.) Gehrig of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, and numerous grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
