Darlene M Lorenzen's Obituary
Darlene M. Lorenzen, 87, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, June 4, 2015 at her home.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be John Melvin, John Paul Melvin, Spencer Melvin, Mike Lorenzen, John Lorenzen, and Matt Lorenzen. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-4:00 pm at the funeral home.
Darlene Mae Lorenzen was born on August 15, 1927 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Lester J. and Edna M. (Sexton) Humphrey. She was a graduate of Clinton High School. She married John Lorenzen on November 3, 1950 in Clinton, Iowa.
Darlene worked as a telephone supervisor for Northwestern Bell in Clinton from 1945 to 1955. She enjoyed fishing, reading, gambling, and time with family. She was a sports fan and especially liked cheering for the Green Bay Packers.
Darlene is survived by her husband John Lorenzen of Clinton; one son: Jim (Lisa) Lorenzen of Houston, Texas; two half sisters: Joan Pinkston of Clinton and Marilyn Kupfer of Clinton; and two half brothers: Charles Humphrey of Clinton and Jake Humphrey of Lobelville, Tennessee.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and two half sisters.
