Darlene F. Putman-Lisius, 82, of Camanche, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center – North Campus, Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory with Pastor Paul Willis officiating. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at www.snellzornig.com
Darlene Fern Breiter was born on October 25, 1930 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of John and Myrtle (Kitchen) Breiter. She was a 1948 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Charles Putman on April 3, 1948 in Iowa City; he died May 18, 1975. She later married Ron Lisius on January 6, 1979 in Camanche.
Darlene was a homemaker and also owned and operated Darlene’s Ceramics in Camanche.
Darlene was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. She enjoyed raising horses and Brittany Spaniels, and was a member of the American Brittany Club in Ohio.
Darlene is survived by her husband: Ron of Camanche; children: Julia (Larry) Leonard of Camanche, Kevin (Vickie) Putman of Newburg, Indiana, Scott (Jimmie) Putman of North Pole, Alaska, Curtis (Lori) Lisius of Albany, Illniois, Teri (Bob) Engelhardt of Bolingbrook, Illinois, Rhonda Crowther of Snohomish, Washington, and Jon Lisius of Clinton, Iowa; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, and her sister: Deloris Hill.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church.
