Daniel D. Mullin's Obituary
Daniel D. Mullin, 71, of Goose Lake, passed away, Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am, Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Glahn Cemetery – rural Goose Lake. Serving as pallbearers will be Luke Webinger, Lee James, Josh Eggers, Brent Caven, Noah Mullin and Tyson Sullivan. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.
Daniel Duane Mullin was born on March 13, 1951 in Savanna, Illinois, the son of John and Gloria (Seeman) Mullin. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1969. He attended autobody school and was very proud of his 1967 Firebird that he welded together from the parts of two others. He also had a Willys Jeep collection.
Dan spent most of his life working at Arrowhead Hunting Club which his parents founded in 1952. He was an expert dog trainer, hunting guide and shooting coach. He enjoyed jeep rides, spending time with family and friends, fixing things, grilling steaks, shooting, mushroom hunting and many outdoor activities. He was known for storytelling, assigning nicknames and his sense of humor. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
Dan is survived by his daughters: Paula (Luke) Webinger of Lost Nation, Iowa, Katherine (Lee) James of Lahaina, Hawaii, Daniele (Josh) Eggers of Clinton, and Sara (Brent) Caven of Iowa City, 8 grandchildren: Noah, Jordan, Mackenzie, Joselyn, Lauren, Dane, William, and Weston, his significant other: Laurie Marx of Bryant; his siblings: Dale (Linn) Mullin, Kevin (Donna) Mullin, Patrick (Diane) Mullin, Peggy (Lee) Cartwright, and James Mullin of Goose Lake, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, two nephews, and a sister-in-law.
