Dan's zest for life was contagious. He truly loved God, Carol and his children. Many years ago my husband and I had dinner with Dan and Carol (she made homemade tortillas). It was a warm, fun evening. He was a great encourager. My thoughts are with Carol and his wonderful family. Mindy Stratton
Dan, the singing PE teacher, walking the hallways of good old CHS and always sharing his joy for life and family with a smile and song. He was a first class person, an excellent teacher, and a funny off-key “hallway” soloist who always made me smile. He and Joanne Winkler coached some of the best swimmers and divers in the state. Dan was a good teacher and coach, but a better human being. His smile, chatter about anything and everything, and his belief in family were attributes that he “owned” and shared as a husband to Carol, a father to a successful family, and a school that he loved. Dan and Carol have always been an example of God's love with their marriage and family w children, grand children, friends, neighbors and church. In Dan's years of coaching swimming so many have benefited from his coaching but more his strong faith in God. In the many years I have known them they have brought many to Christ. Carol, my heart goes out to you with love.
