Dale E. Etheridge's Obituary
Dale E. Etheridge, 73, of Prophetstown, Illinois, formerly of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospital – Downers Grove, Illinois.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will Scott Etheridge, Doug Dorathy, Paxton Schultz, Gus Schultz, Brady Melton, and Zach Bryan. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Wyatt Melton, Kye Bryan, Oaklan Bryan, and Weston Melton. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home
Dale Edward Etheridge was born March 16, 1952 in Princeton, Illinois, the son of Gail and Dorothy (Reynolds) Etheridge. He was 1970 graduate of Tampico High School. He married Jeanne Mills on April 7, 1995 in Reno, Nevada; she died November 4, 2019.
Dale was a dedicated car salesman in the region working for McEleney Motors for 26 years, Schullers for 11 years and Turpin in Geneseo retiring in 2023.
Dale was member of First Lutheran Church in Prophetstown, and a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Dale is survived by his daughter: Wendy (Joseph) Schultz and son: Jamie (Jennifer) Etheridge both of Prophetstown, Illinois, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; his brother: Randy (Beth) Etheridge and sister: Debra (Patrick) Dorathy both of Tampico, Illinois; and brother-in-laws: Kenneth (Mary) Mills of Holiday Island, Arkansas, and Frank (Jill) Mills of Harvard, Illinois. In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by his parents; a great-grandson: Ryker Bryan and a step-son: Brian Larson.
Memorials can be made to the First Lutheran Church in Prophetstown.
