Curtis R. Ohsann's Obituary
Curtis R. Ohsann, 89, of Camanche passed away, Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center – North.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Monday, December 14, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery with military honors being conducted by Clinton AMVETS Post#28. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Munson, Shawm Munson, Jeremy Geiger, Alex Washington, Wayne Gluesing, and Tom Neubauer. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-5:00pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Curtis Raymond Ohsann was born on March 29, 1926 in Aurora, Illinois, the son of Curtis and Bertha (Scheuerman) Ohsann. He graduated from Lyons High School. He later served in the United States Navy during World War II from 1944-1946. He married Lorriane Laurant on May 15, 1948 in Clinton; she died September 13, 2007.
Curtis worked at DuPont in maintenance for 36 years retiring in 1984. He was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a member of the Camanche American Legion. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, was an avid camper, and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grand and great-grandchildren.
Curtis is survived by one daughter: Cindy (Richard) Munson of Camanche; one son: Gary (Pat) Ohsann of Camanche; four grandchildren: Kim (Jeremy) Geiger, Shawn (Michele) Munson, Brian (Katie) Munson, and Rebecca (Alex) Ohsann; seven great-grandchildren; and his sister: Arlene Kropp of Nebraska. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
