Clarence Klare's Obituary
Clarence R. Klare, 80, of Clinton, died Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center-North Campus in Clinton. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private memorial service will take place at the Clinton Chapel-Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Clarence Richard Klare was born on December 15, 1928 on Beaver Island, the son of Clarence and Rose (Ohrt) Klare. He was a graduate of Clinton High School. He married Lois Mae Maw on August 5, 1950 in Clinton; she died on May 24, 2004. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He had been employed with E. I. DuPont for over 30 years until retiring in 1985. He is survived by 4 daughters: Victoria Murphy, Barbara (Jim) Cook, Elizabeth (Jerry) Peltier, all of Clinton, and Susan Norem of Port Byron, IL; 3 sons: Bruce Klare of Clinton, Tom Klare of Camanche, and Mark (Julie) Klare of Mobile, AL; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, one sister: Lavonne Mann of Clinton, and one brother: Robert (Artis) Klare of St. Joseph, MO.
