Clarence G. Carber's Obituary
Clarence “Scoop” G. Carber, 78, of Camanche passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022 at MercyOne Medical Center - Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 am, Friday, December 9, 2022 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the McCausland Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Cash Carber, Beau Carber, Tyler Carber, Dakota Carber, Eddie Doyle and CJ Carber. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday December 8, 2022 at the funeral home. Clarence Glen Carber was born March 5, 1944 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Frank and Mary Jane (LeBarge) Carber. He worked as a heavy Equipment Operator local 537 for many years.
Scoop is survived by his five children: CJ Carber, Jr. of Arizona, Frank (Jessica) Carber of Sterling, Illinois, Cheryl Anderson, Nikki Bower and Glen Alan Anderson; four stepchildren: Cindy Bennett, Nancy Schafer, Lonnie Mosher and Bobbie Mosher; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings: Mary Lynn Sullivan, Dick Carber and Reba (James) Ellis; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Ronald and Jerry Carber and three sisters: Jackie Atkinson, Judith Doyle and infant sister.
