Christopher John Ross' Obituary
Christopher John Ross, 49, of Maquoketa, Iowa, died Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the Jackson County Regional Health Center, Maquoketa. Services will be held at 11:00AM Friday, February 4, 2022 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Clinton. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until the service hour Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rod Bormann, Brandon Schlecht, Darin Bormann, Stuart Waller, Chad Clemen and Robbie Koster. Chris was born October 27, 1972 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Larry and Judith (Strouss) Ross, Sr. He was a Camanche High School graduate and attended Iowa State University for two years. Chris married Jenny Blackman, they later divorced.
Chris was employed as a supervisor for A.Y. McDonald, Dubuque for the past three years. Chris had also been employed with Family Dollar Distribution Center, Maquoketa. Chris enjoyed off roading with his Jeep and trail riding on his motorcycle. He was an avid Iowa State Cyclone fan and was a very good cook.
Survivors include his mother, Judith Ross of Camanche, IA; fiancé, Dana Bormann of Maquoketa, IA; children, Holly and Ryne Ross of Wichita, KS; brother, Larry (Krista) Ross, Jr. of Rochester, MN; nephew Zachary Ross of Minneapolis, MN; Aunts and uncles, Joan and Bill Ross of Camanche, IA; Mel and Tim Stevens of Muscatine, IA; Mike Beal of Iowa City, IA; Bob Ross of Davenport, IA; cousins, Jonathan Ross, Julie Walter, Cindy Foster and Jamie Stevens.
Christopher was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Mary Ann and Earl Strouss and Fran and Robert Ross; aunt, Patty Beal and cousin, Ian Barnhart.
