Christopher B. Lucke's Obituary
Christopher Bradley Lucke, 37, passed away on October 4, 2025.
Christopher was born November 4. 1987 in Flagstaff, Arizona. From birth he was a fighter, coming into this world 3 months premature at only 2 pounds and able to be held by his mom and Grandma in only one hand. He was a true miracle baby and not only did he beat the odds they gave him in the hospital, he quickly surpassed every milestone they told his mother he may never meet.
His early years were spent playing at his Grandma Margie and Pa Jim’s where he loved pulling vegetables from the gardens, sledding down the big hill, riding the tractor and enjoying Sunday dinners. He also loved Riverboat Days and visiting his Great-Grandpa John’s Lemonade Stand and spending time with his brother, Jordan.
He frequently brought up memories of his time in Arizona where he lived with his Grandma Marilee. He spent his time riding bikes and creating adventures with his big sister, gardening with his Grandma and running the halls of the school where she taught.
He attended Prince of Peace and then Clinton High School where he was able to gain a plethora of lifelong friends and memories. His ability to turn anyone into a friend was only matched by how well he could make everyone feel seen, welcome and comfortable in any circumstance.
In his later years, he lived at his Grandma Marilee and Grandpa Alan’s farm where loved helping to take care of their many animals and taking his niece and nephews out to see the cows in the pasture.
His sharp wit and radiant humor lit up every room, leaving behind laughter that lingers in the hearts of those who knew him. Christopher’s life was deeply rooted and shaped in art. Not only in his ability to create masterful drawings but also in deepfelt poetry and his passion and connection with music. He found solace and peace in the outdoors and loved kayaking and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents John and Natalie Townsend and Jack and Genevieve Lucke. His Uncle John Lucke and his Grandpa James (Pa) Adams.
He is survived and will be missed by his parents, Jennifer and Eric Ryan. His Grandparents: Marilee and Alan Horst, Donald and Elizabeth Lucke, and Grandma Margie. His son, Gabriel. His siblings: Abbigayle (Jason) Sprague, Jordan (Carlie) Phillips, Auston Ryan, Alex Ryan, Ashlyn (Antonio Russell) Ryan and Alyssa (Kevin O’Neill) Ryan. Nieces and nephews: Jack and Tommy Sprague, Beckham and Carter Phillips, Myla, Ryleigh and Cali Russell, and Liam O’Neill. His uncles and aunts: Bradley (Lisa) Ries and Jonathan (Mijin) Lucke. His Aunt (and Godmother) Tracy Schluns and Aunt Lynn Sander. He will also be missed and remembered by his many cousins and wonderful friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 12th from 11-2 at Snell-Zornig in Clinton. A burial will be held at Miles Cemetery on Monday, October 13th at 10AM.
