Charlotte M Huffman Hein's Obituary
Charlotte M. Huffman Hein, 97, of Clinton passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 at West Wing – DeWitt.
Funeral Services will be 1:00pm, Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00am to the service time at the funeral home.
Charlotte Mae Burkert was born April 13, 1922 in Jackson County, Iowa, the daughter of Lloyd and Nettie (Gnade) Burkert. She married Robert Huffman on July 3, 1943 in Jackson County, Iowa; he passed away on June 25, 2007. She later married Ray Hein of Niles, Michigan on October 27, 2008 at the Sarah Harding Home on October 27, 2008.
Charlotte was a 1939 graduate of Andrew High School and was a homemaker and babysat many kids in her home over the year.
Charlotte was a member of First United Methodist Church – Clinton. Charlotte enjoyed her friends and family especially her grandchildren.
Charlotte is survived by her husband Ray Hein of Niles, Michigan; two sons: Mike (Susan) Huffman of Goose Lake, Iowa and Terry (Linda) Huffman of Davenport, Florida; two stepsons: Randy (Jacki) Hein of South Bend, Indiana and Ron (Leona) Hein of Niles, Michigan; one sister: Rosella Dyas of Maquoketa; five grandchildren: Sarah (Tom) Cox, Shannon E. (Shannon P.) Heck, Wendy (Mike Monaco) Huffman, T.J. Huffman and Marc (Amanda) Huffman; step grandchildren: Maretes (Kim) Hein, Nique (Kevin) Gaughn and Kate, Meg, Libby, Ele and Sam Hein; great grandchildren: Ethan, Gavin, Susannah, Elizabeth,, Olivia, Brody, Drew and Zack; step-great granddaughter: Moira Gaughn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Florence Bowman, and Leta Bechen, and her brother: Lloyd Burkert.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
