Charlie Stuhlman's Obituary
Charlie Stuhlman, 91, of Camanche passed away Friday, November 28, 2025 at his home.
Memorial Services with military honors will be 11:00am, Friday, December 5, 2025 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Charles Oliver Stuhlman was born on October 4, 1934, in Clinton the son of Charles and Ruth (Warner) Stuhlman. He was a 1952 graduate of Clinton High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1952-1955. He married Mary Jo Clancy on April 26, 1958 in Clinton; she died August 19, 1994. He later married Bonnie Tompkins on May 4, 1996; she died October 16, 2020.
Charlie was employed with International Paper for 34 years and later for Tom McManus. He enjoyed spending time on the beach in Gulf Shores, AL. Watching Alabama Crimson Tide (Rollll Tide) and Iowa Hawkeye football. Boating, fishing, motorcycle/scooter breakfast rides with his long time friends from International Paper, spending time with family and friends, and sitting on his deck sipping a glass of wine or brandy in the late afternoon.
He is survived by his daughter: Linda Stuhlman of Camanche; his son: Mark (Ellyn) Stuhlman of Camanche; stepchildren: Rhonda Cook of Camanche, Laurie Fisher of Schertz, Texas, and Kristi (Ryan) Turney of Orion, Illinois; and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his brother: Donald Stuhlman of Foley, Alabama. In addition to both of his wives he was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Richard (Dick) Stuhlman and Ron Stuhlman.
