Chancey O. Bieber, 92, of Clinton died Friday, December 5, 2008 at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clinton. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, December 8, 2008 at Oakland Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by the Clinton AMVETS. Chancey Oliver Bieber was born on March 1, 1916 in Joliet, IL, the son of Adolph and Annabel (Vimpenny) Bieber. He graduated High School in Omaha, NE. He was a World War II United States Army veteran. He married Dorothy E. Neumann on March 12, 1950 in Clinton, IA; she died on December 17, 1975. He was employed with Clinton Corn for over 25 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He is survived by one daughter: Lynne (David) Kallenbach of Fulton; one son: Kent (Deb) Bieber of Alleman, IA; 7 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife Dorothy, he was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Julie, 2 brothers, and one great-granddaughter. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or The Alzheimer’s Association.
