Carroll J. Eizenga's Obituary
Carroll J. Eizenga, 89, of Camanche passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Park Vista Retirement Living in Camanche.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 pm, Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Warren Eizenga, Sammy Biggs, Roger Biggs, Jeana (Biggs) Broughton and Natalie Clark. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service time at the funeral home. Carroll Jean Stratton was born February 16, 1936 in Cairo, Illinois, the daughter of Clyde and Ima (Marjrum) Stratton. She worked as a waitress for many years in Clinton and enjoyed playing cards, walking, dancing and was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton. Carroll’s life was defined by love and commitment to those closest to her. Her strength and devotion left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Carroll married William Travis Biggs and had four children: Jeana (Biggs) Broughton of Clinton, David Biggs of East Moline, Roger Biggs of Clinton and Sammy Biggs of Decatur, Illinois; she later married Clarence Eizenga and gained six more children, in addition to her children she is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren and one sister Bea.
Carroll was preceded in death by her sweetie Clarence, two grandsons Christopher and Dillon, son-in-law Kevin Broughton, Clarence’s daughter, and ten of her twelve siblings.
