Caroline Andresen's Obituary
Caroline M. Andresen, 98, of Camanche, passed away, Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the Alverno.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Thursday, July 10, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church – Clinton. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Cory Goldbeck, Joe Goldbeck, Lyndon Andresen, Erin Phillips, Misti Steiner, LeNee Andresen. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30am to the service time at the church. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory – Camanche is assisting the family.
Caroline Mardele Jahn was born on September 17, 1926, in Thomson, Illinois, the daughter of Herman and Marie (Hoffmann) Jahn. She was a 1944 graduate of Clinton High School. She married George Andresen on April 17, 1949, in Charlotte, Iowa, he passed away on May 25, 2016.
Caroline was a homemaker and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She will be remembered for being a great cook, artist, poetry writer, and her love for animals. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Caroline is survived by her four sons: Lon Andresen of Camanche, Loren (Peggy) Andresen of Camanche, Dean (Sue) Andresen of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Dwight (Cheryle) Andresen of Mountain Home, Idaho; a daughter-in-law: Gina Andresen of Clinton; 6 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In addition of her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, a son Lyle, a grandson Landis, four brothers and five sisters.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of the Alverno and Mercy Hospice. Memorials can be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or the Clinton Humane Society.
