Carole was a wonderful boss and friend. When D.J. and I were teenagers, our friends always told him "Your mom is really cool, D.J.!" When I was a student at Ashford, she always made a point of saying "hi" and asking me how things were going. When I went to work for her I discovered she was as cool a boss as she was a friend and mom. She was laid-back, funny, and always willing to put others before herself. She will be missed by many people, because she had such a great impact on so many lives.

I only knew Carole for about three weeks. However, I was able to discern her positive traits immediately. She helped me decide to make a major career move (to be a writing consultant) simply by talking about her writing consultants. She spoke highly of them and the job they were doing. I was very impressed with that, and her willingness to do whatever she could to help people. She was a fantastic supervisor. I admired her intelligence, her work ethic, and her compassion.

I only knew Carole for about six weeks. I replaced her in her previous position at Ashford. Though I only knew her for a short time, I was able to see what a caring, compassionate woman she was. She was so vibrant and full of life. It is very difficult to sit at the desk she once sat at and and go through the files/emails she created without thinking of her constantly. She will be missed by so many. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

I worked with Carole at MSC/TFU/AU since she started in 1999, and I don't know if I had ever met a more loyal and harder working woman. She was a wonderful person and an even better friend. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. She constantly spoke of her love and pride for her family, always ready with a new picture to show or story to tell of her beloved grandchildren.

I was very sorry to hear about Carol's death.My deepest reguards go to all of her family. Carol and I were high school friends and when I was going through a hard time Carol invited me to live with her and her family in McAllen, Texas. We lost contact later and I always appriciated their kindnesses and supportiveness. She was such a loving soul...as was the rest of her family. I was very saddened to hear about Carole today. I will always remember from years ago how nice she was to me. She always let me stay over and treated me like one of the family. She was always very understanding with us as crazy teenagers.

Carole's love and devotion were treasured by her family. Carole always encouraged them to their best effort. She served as an every ready source of advice and reason to any who asked. Her family will tell you she was the best mom they knew. Carole was their shinning light and pillar of strength. Everyone who knew Carole will tellyou their lives were better because whe was a part of it. Her passing leaves a tremendous void in the lives of all she touched. She will be forever missed.

My heart goes out to your family in this sad time in your lives. I have such fond memories of growing up and sharing quite a bit of time at the Hlubek house. Some of my fondest is the time we traveled to Iowa that summer. I will always cherish the memory of Carole and the time I spent with the family.

Although I have only known Carole since July, she quickly proved herself to be a good friend and a kind and funny person, with a strong sense of ethics. It was a joy to work with her. My deepest condolences to the family who will surely miss her deeply. I will remember you all in my prayers.
