Carol A. Shadle's Obituary
Carol A. Shadle, 85, of Camanche, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 at the Alverno.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery – Camanche. Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Campie, Ray Skelton, Lenee Andresen, Derek Hoenig, Karson Hoenig, and Blake Hoenig. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Seth, Emma, Emily, Malia, Malina, Ashilyne, Macy, Delilah, and River. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00am to the service time at the funeral home.
Carol Ann Block was born on April 11, 1940, in Clinton the daughter of Raymond and Virginia (Kammerer) Block. She married Lester Shadle on June 15, 1957 in Clinton; he died October 5, 2015.
Carol was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She loved listening to country music, but she relished her time on sitting on her swing watching the birds that she fed. She was an admirer of angels and had an extensive collection of them.
Carol is survived by her daughters: Gina Andresen of Clinton and Tammy (Duane) Campie of Camanche; son-in-law: Michael McIntryre of Camanche; 5 grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter; siblings: Richard Block of DeWitt, and Martha Block of Collettsville, North Carolina. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son: Roger, and daughter: Kimberly, a grandson: Landis and a son-in-law: Lyle.
