Carl Schnoor's Obituary
Carl M. Schnoor, 93, of Camanche, died Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center-North Campus. Funeral services will be 10:30AM, Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be held at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Carl M. Schnoor was born on October 28, 1914 in Clinton, the son of Carl and Florence (Price) Schnoor. He married Bernadette Hartman on July 15, 1933, in Freeport, Illinois; she died on March 17, 1985. He attended Clinton Community schools. He was employed as a farmer for eleven years. He later worked as a Foreman at Central Steel for seventeen years, until retiring in September of 1976.
He is survived by five daughters, Susan (Gary) Petersen of Clinton; Karen (David) Clark of Clinton; Karol (Gary) Mitchell of Butler, KY; Linda Schnoor of Clinton, and Jeanne Landers of Illinois; three sons, Thomas (Johanna) Schnoor of Garden City, MO; Larry (Marilyn) Schnoor of Oklahoma City, OK, and Richard (Dorothy) Schnoor of Camanche. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, a son-in-law, and two sisters.
