Candace J. DeShazier's Obituary
Candace J. DeShazier, 62, of Camanche, passed away, Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center – North Campus, Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Michaelsen, Dan Mallinger, Mike Kooi, Marc Lineberry, Alan Campbell, and Mark McDonald. Serving as an Honorary Pallbearer will be Nathan Kooi. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
Candace Jane Orr was born on October 2, 1952 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Everett and Elise (Cline) Orr. She was a graduate of Riverdale High School – Port Byron, Il. She married David DeShazier on August 1, 1970 in Port Byron.
Candace worked at the Imperial Lanes bowling alley for many years.
Candace enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Camanche Womens Bowling Association, loved cooking, sewing, scrapbooking, and camping. Most of all she truly enjoyed being a grandma and spending time with her grandchildren.
Candace is survived by her husband: David of Camanche; her daughter: Karrie (Jeff) Palsgrove of Camanche, and Dan (Stacy) DeShazier of Dubuque, Iowa; three grandchildren: Lindsay McDonald, Emma DeShazier and Jacob DeShazier. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
