Cal was a great teacher. When he did an audit and found a mistake it was a teaching session not a blaming session. He was admired and respected by all. He will be missed.
Dear Aunt Tudy, Chris, Barb, Bill, Andy and Laura,
I have been holding Uncle Mick and all of you in my thoughts and prayers ever since he went to the hospital for his surgery. I am so very sorry for your loss. I look at his picture and struggle to comprehend that he is no longer with us.
Uncle Mick was a wonderful, funny, good man, and I am going to miss him. Our Rohwer family gatherings won't be the same without him.
I take some comfort in thinking that he and Daddy are catching up on some good visits - and maybe even doing a little fishing at our Minnesota lake.
Fondly and with Sympathy,
Margi
Bill,
I am sad to hear of the loss of your Father: He was a good man.
You, your Mother, and your brothers and sisters are in my prayers.
Love,
Therese
My deepest sympathy to the entire family at the loss of such a great husband, dad, grandfather, and friend. Cal was one of the happiest and friendliest people I have ever met. I have fond memories of Humphreys/Michaelsen gatherings with good food (thank you, Bill), singing around the piano (thank you, Chris), and many laughs! Cal was at the center of all these good times. (I will never hear "In The Break Mid Winter" and not think of him and how the beauty of his duet with Laura made me cry.) Hold on to these precious memories of Cal. I know I will. My love to all of you as you go through this time of sadness and remembering. - Lynn
Dear Tudie, My sincerest sympathy to you and your family. You and Cal were such great friends of my parents (Ollie & Nellie) and Cal and Dad shared a lifetime bond through their love of music.I have many old photos of "the band" (The Sportsmen) and Cal. If you would like any of them, I would be glad to send them to you. Sincerely, Betty Jo Brandt Lange
Many great memories of Cal. A very fine musician and man. What better could be said about a person.
Dear Andy and Family, I am very sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers at this difficult time.
Bill, I wish to extend my sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your father. Having lost my mother two years ago, I know how very much it hurts to lose a parent. We want to hang on to them forever, but we cannot. Although I met your parents briefly, I always valued your friendship in high school so very much. So, Bill, my deepest sympathy to you and yours. May many positive memories support all of you through this loss. Sincerely, Bill Dawson
Bill -
My Christian sympathy to you and your family. I have great memories of the CALM Epiphany party hosted by you and your parents.
