Hello; so sorry for your loss. I knew of no other way of hopefully contacting some family members. My Name is Steven Relph. Natalie and I are the current owners of The home Truxton and Betty owned/built in Camanche, Iowa. We are enjoying the place greatly.
What we are looking for,, are old photos of the home during construction, The early years, 60's,70's and 80's. We are starting to put together a history of how the home has changed. Photos of landscaping or photos of gatherings that show landscaping in the background. I hear they had a lot of trees at one time. Photos that would show the trees, the fence. the backyard, The front yard. We want to put a 'then and now' thing together. Photos, before the apartments were built on the east side. Your family is in my thoughts. I am so happy to have known Betty over the past year as she has taught me so much about life and living it to the fullest. She knew how to stay positive know matter what the circumstance. She was selfless and cared deeply about those around her. Betty was a joy to be around and just lit up the room! She enjoyed numerous activities while living at SIlvercrest especially gardening, exercise, and being the "Bingo Lady." I loved when she shared photos of her hunting and fishing in Louisiana. She was always on the move and helping out. Betty will be truly missed at Silvercrest but always in our memories.

My thoughts and prayers go to Betty's family and friends. Although it's been too many years since I last saw her I will always remember her joyful spirit and willingness to give to those around her. Sorry to here of Betty's death. Hard to believe she was 94 years old. She was always so active and lived a full life during the time we knew her. It has been a few years since we saw her last. Thinking of all her family, those we know, Jim (Buddy) and Bobby and those we knew through stories from Aunt Dee.

Warm thoughts will be with you all during the services tomorrow. Hopefully, some day we will see you and talk about memories of our times together and of all our family that have gone and left us so many good memories.

Bytha was such a good friend. Always wanting to do something for you or help you. I had talked to her last Sunday and she was happy and told me she did not know why the Lord was leaving her on this earth. I tried to explain to her he would take her when he was ready for her. We went on and had a good conversation and not many of you know I truly loved Bee. I will miss my conversations with her and to all the family I am sorry for your loss. Brenda Rainey

In life we meet people who have an innate way of making you smile. Betty was one of those people. Her spirit, her smile, her competitive personality were all characteristics that made us love her. She loved activities ranging from bags to bingo. She was adventurous and full of energy. She loved to laugh and make people laugh. We will miss her deeply. We are all better people for having known her. We will miss her but know she now rests in peace:)
