Dear family Bielenberg,
I am very sorry for your loss and my thoughts are with you.
Byrne will stay in our minds and still his growing system will somewhat continue work with him.
We wish you all the best and much strength in this sad time.
Dear Dave and Ellen,
I was scanning through the obits of the DeWitt area after getting word of lady I knew from Grand Mound when I saw the obit for Byrne. I am truly sorry to read of his death at such a young age. Please know you are in my thoughts.
I didn't know your sons but Dave I have many fond memories of all those years we taught together at Central.
I had the privilege to work with Byrne in the late 1990's on batch PLIMS. His lighthearted, happy go lucky personality made working with him a lot of fun. It was less than a year ago that we found ourselves working on a project again.
It is hard to believe something so tragic could happen to someone so good so young.
"bab" as he signed his e-mails is going to be missed, but not forgotten.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. My deepest sympathy. God bless.
To Byrne's family Juanita, Melanie Mitchell,Michael mother Ellen Father Dave,Brothers Byron and family and Byrce and family you have mine and my extended families deepest sympathies! Having known and grown up with Byrne my entire life of 46 years I was blessed to have your loved ones presence as one to make each step of the way a more pleasant and enjoyable experience. Through Sunday school, grade and high school Byrne was with the entire way. Byrne without knowing pushed me and a lot of others to be better people and better atheletes. Because of Byrne myself and alot of our classmates were beginning the footsteps of making this world a better place for everyone. After highschool we seemed each to set out on our own journies. After 20 plus years Byrne's and my journies crossed through stockcar racing. I know through my boys that Byrne and Mitchell were again making the lives of those they meet on a daily basis a better and less serious task. For the afore mentioned reasons I thank you for sharing with me and and everyone else such a wonderful blessing and I say with the utmost sincerity this outstanding son, brother, husband, father, and friend will not be forgotten.
Sincerly Kent A Rickertsen
So sorry to here of your loss, deepest thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time.

I never worked directly with Byrne but we were occasionally at the same ADM place at the same ADM time and got to know him over the years. I heard about his passing on Tuesday, I am sorry to hear about your loss. When I found out about Byrne I said right away how strange it was, not just the sudden loss but because just this last weekend I found a driving range golf ball in the back of a drawer in my desk at home. One night in Germany after staying at the hotel bar for too long Byrne and I walked to a double decker driving range that was still open for some reason. I don't know if it was the German beer or if we just weren't very good at golf but we went to the upper level so the drives would go further. We ended up slicing almost every drive over the net and onto the street that was filled with parked cars. I'm sure we made some good German friends that night. I kept a ball as a souvenir of our good time but just threw it in a drawer a while ago. I just happened to fine it this past weekend. Byrne will be missed by all.
