Broc Burken's Obituary
Broc Edward Burken, 26, of Clinton, IA, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at his home in Clinton, IA. Private services will be held on Thursday at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Public Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Barrett Snodgrass, Josh Farrell, Eric Steffe, Jed Tucker, Lonnie Hamilton, Jr., and Jeremy Wiersema.
Broc was born on Wednesday, September 9, 1981, in Clinton, IA, the son of Kevin and Kim (Meyer) Burken. He was a North East High School graduate and attended DeVry Institute of Technology. He married Barb Weibers July 31, 2002 in Clinton, Iowa. He was employed at Ipsco Steel for the past five years. Broc had a passion for auto racing, had his own racecar and raced in Cordova, Illinois. He also thoroughly enjoyed playing play station games. Survivors include his wife, Barb of Clinton; daughters Tatumn and Mackenna both at home; his brother, Seth (April) Burken of Clinton; his father, Kevin and his wife Jackie Burken of Clinton; his mother, Kim Burken of Goose Lake; his grandparents, Arletta Burken of Preston and Arnold and Lucille Meyer of Goose Lake and Florida. Broc was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and Great grandparents. Memorials may be made to a trust fund to be set up for his daughters
