Met Brian 15+yrs ago standing top of old North End Zone, Hawkeye games & standing & talking with Brian was always very special. It was evident from the very beginning that Family, Friends & HAWKEYE's meant everything to both of us. Brian's friends & my friends All enjoyed & looked forward to seeing each other every HAWKEYE football game! Brian is already missed & will be always missed. GO HAWKS!

We at Honor Flight of the Quad Cities were saddened to hear of the passing of Brian. We understand that this is a time of grief for you, and we share that grief with you. We are thankful for him and his selfless contribution of time and effort to support the Veterans of our nation.
It was our privilege to have him four times as a guardian on an Honor Flight. We do hope that it was memorable and we did appreciated his service.
Without friends like him we could not have served the almost 5000 Veterans who have taken an Honor Flight from the Quad Cities.

I am forever grateful for Cousin Brian and the way he treated everyone as family. There are some many things I am thankful about. His visits with my Dad Richard "Dick" Thoms were appreciated and sometimes he would bring nephew Jacob Thoms with him. Besides being a great friend Brian was a great Uncle. He would drive folks to appointments when they called and escorted many veterans on Honor Flights. The Thoms family has a great History of military service and Brian honored all us veterans as if they were his family. He will be missed by many. Of course if Dad couldn't find what channel the Hawks game was on his first call was to Brian. GO HAWKS.

Brian was absolutely proud to be a THOMS and the THOMS clan were so proud and thankful he walked among us. His kind heart and gentle presence will be sorely missed but his memory will be forever in our heart. GO HAWKS
