Brian Decker's Obituary
Brian Decker, 58, of Camanche, passed away, Thursday, November 28, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am, Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at the Journey Church – Clinton. Burial will be in the Shaffton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm Tuesday at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Brian Dean Decker was born on December 1, 1965 in Champaign, Illinois, the son of A. Dean and Mary Ellen (Tenley) Decker. He was a 1984 graduate of Geneseo High School and later graduated in 1989 from Asbury University Wilmore, Kentucky. He married Linda Bandixen on September 12, 1998 in Camanche.
Brian was currently the production supervisor for KWQC-TV and has worked for the station for 35 years. He was a member of Journey Church. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and storm chasing with his son.
Brian is survived by his wife: Linda of Camanche; five children: Lillie of Ames, Isaac of Camanche, Emma of Ames, Hannah of Ames, and Joseph of Camanche; his father: A. Dean (Lauran) Decker of Sun City, Arizona, a brother: Brett (Kirsten) Decker of Geneseo; father-in-law: Larry Bandixen of Newton, Iowa; sister-in-law: Tammy Bandixen of Camanche, and brother-in-law: Mark (Melissa) Bandixen of Rochester, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and his grandparents.
