Breton W. Williams' Obituary
Breton W. Williams was born on August 2, 1963 in Danville, Illinois, the son of Wayne & Donna (Thornton) Williams. He was a 1981 graduate of Catlin High School, and later graduated from Gem City College in Peoria. He married Vickie Hartman on June 21, 1986 in Clinton.
Breton moved to Clinton in 1985 working for Brumer-Dudley Jewelers before starting Williams Financial Group in 1987. He just recently celebrated 35 years of helping his clients achieve their financial goals. He expanded his business to Marshalltown and Davenport. While he experienced success in his business, his true passion was helping others achieve their dreams.
Breton loved all things Motorsport - from driving his Porsche to racing his Nissan 370Z all over the country at some of his favorite racetracks. To no one’s surprise, he experienced success from earning rookie of the year honors, setting multiple track records, and competing for national championships. When he wanted to slow things down he would drive his John Deere “G” Tractor around town - co-piloted by his two grandkids. Above all, he loved his family and adored his grand children.
Breton is survived by his wife: Vickie of Clinton; two sons: Brad (Brianne) Williams of Van Meter, Iowa, Bryce (Kaitlyn) Williams of Ankeny, Iowa; two grandchildren: Quinn and Creighton, and a grandson Jack on the way; his sister: Michelle (Vernon) Villasenor of Dana Point, California; two nieces: Amy & Ally; and his mother-in-law: Doris Hartman of Fulton. He was preceded in death by his mother, and his beloved grandmother: Helen Hooker.
A public visitation will be Friday, December 16, 2022, from 2:30pm-7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Journey Church.
