Braeden Simmons' Obituary
Braeden Hunter Simmons, 2, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 12, 2009 after a year long, courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Friday, July 17, 2009, at Community Reformed Church. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Wolfe, Carey Wolfe, Daniel Simmons, Brad Nolan, Dan Sager, and Matt Lorenzen. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be his cousin Lauren, Lucas, Chloe, and Marshall Wolfe. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00-8:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Braeden Hunter Simmons was born on June 28, 2007 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Brett and Shelley (Wolfe) Simmons. Braeden enjoyed and loved holding his mom's hair, watching Mickey Mouse and Caillou on TV, playing the drums at church, playing with his John Deere tractors, hitting golf balls with grandpa, playing with daddy's tools and mommy's vacuum, his Pacie, swinging, grandpa's fish tank, trains, "Blue," his bunny-bear, driving his Gator and watching his daddy go "Vroom." Braeden is survived by his loving parents: Brett and Shelley Simmons of Clinton; his paternal grandparents: Burton and Patsy Simmons of Clinton; his maternal grandparents: Matthew and Sibylle Wolfe of Clinton, his paternal great-grandfather: Bernard Simmons of Clinton, his maternal great-grandmother: Rosemarie Tode of Clinton, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorials can be made to the family or to the University of Iowa Dance Marathon.
