Bonnie Lovely was born on November 7, 1947, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Herbert and Margaret (DeLarm) Lovely.
Bonnie was a graduate of Sabula High School. She also graduated from Clinton Community College with a degree in nursing.
Bonnie loves God, family and friends. Life was an opportunity for her to give to others, which she did generously both to her patients who loved her and her family and friends. Accomplished in many areas of her life, she left a legacy of beautiful handmade heirlooms. She loved to work the earth and delighted in the beauty of nature, including God's animals-being a benefactor to many homeless ones. Small things would provide joy to her, a handmade picture, a shared prayer, a new book. She faced death with dignity and beauty, going home to the one she delighted in most. Bonnie is now walking with the angels, and worshipping her God in Spirit and in Truth,. We love you and will see you soon.
Bonnie was a nurse at the University of Chicago and also was in home health nursing in Houston and Austin, Texas.
Bonnie is survived by her mother: Margaret Lovely of Clinton; step-daughter: Letecia Hilliard of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; 5 sisters: Connie (Rodney) Siefken, of Davenport, Iowa, Mariann (Kurt) Nielsen of Austin, Texas, Penny (Jake) Baughman of San Antonio, Texas, Robin Marburger of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Wendy (Jaime) Lovely-Reyna of Austin, Texas; three brothers: Timothy (HeSun) Lovely of Memphis, Tennessee, Patrick Lovely of Dale, Texas, and Herbert Lovely of Portland, Oregon; and many nieces and nephews.
