Bonnie Betts' Obituary
Bonnie Jo Betts, 56, of Clinton, IA, died Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Bluff Terrace Nursing Home after a long courageous battle with cancer. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 6-8pm Thursday, July 31, 2008 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial talk will be given at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Friday August 8, 2008 at 6:00pm. A funeral dinner will follow at the Eagle Point Lodge. Bonnie was born September 25, 1951 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of William A. and Marleta (Husen) Betts. She was a graduate of Calamus High School and 1974 Graduate of the University of Iowa. Bonnie married David Maring June 2, 1988 in Clinton. She managed the Paint Department at Clinton Auto Parts for 15 years and was employed at Carpetland for 13 years retiring in 2006 for health reasons. Bonnie was a member of the NRA and became a member of Jehovah's Witnesses on July 26, 2006. Survivors include her husband, David Maring of Clinton; her sister, Bobbie Kay (Richard) Hesse of Calamus; 2 nieces and a nephew. Her parents and her stepfather, Elmer Pruhs preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
