Billy R. Dorathy, 85, of Clinton died Friday, May 5th at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics – Iowa City.
Memorial Services will be 10:30 am, Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting his obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Billy was born December 11, 1931 in Clinton, Iowa to Fred and Lillian (Herrington) Dorathy. He was a 1949 graduate of Lyons High School and resided in Clinton his entire life.
Survivors include guardian angels Todd and Brenda Merritt of Clinton, one sister Gwen (Wayne) Schaper of Tallahassee, Florida and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gerry Dorathy and William Herrmann, sisters Marsha Merritt, Norene Moore and Barbara Hoy.
