Billie L. Melvin's Obituary
Billie L. Melvin, 70, of Clinton, passed away Friday February 10, 2023 at his home in Clinton.
Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 2023 from 4:00-7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Billie Lee Melvin was born on September 1, 1952 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Wilbur and Catherine (Melvin) Snodgrass. He was a graduate of Clinton High School and served in the United States Army during Vietnam from 1971-1972.
Billie was employed with Dairy Pak for 35 years. He enjoyed socializing and being the life of the party. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Billie is survived by his children: Brent Melvin of Des Moines, Kelly (Clem) Butler of Fulton, and Brian (Jessica) Melvin of LeClaire; grandchildren: Tesha Rowans, Kelsey Caples, Clem Butler, Brooke Sanders, Izabella Hansen, Justin Langfitt, Travis & Tykela Butler, and Jessica & Darius Wells; 8 great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter; his siblings; Kaydon Turner, Patty (Niles) Davis, Gayla Snodgrass, Tammie (Kevin) Chambers, Kathy Smith, Ted Snodgrass, and Richard (Jolene) Snodgrass, Donna (Dave) Schocker; and his significant other: Julie Schurbon of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, brother, and grandparents.
