Bill Shores' Obituary
Bill Shores, 76 of Clinton passed away October 4, 2018 after a three year battle with Cancer.
There will be no services per his wishes. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family.
Billy Fred Shores was born November 6, 1941 in Mountain City, Tennessee, the son of Elmer Lloyd and Rosa Lee (Osborne) Shores. He came to Clinton at age 17.
He worked at McEleney Motors as an assistant service manager then went to a Davenport dealership and was the service manager there for 12 years. He owned and operated Bluff Service Station and sold real estate.
Bill enjoyed car racing and had a love for people. One time he found a man who was living in his car in the winter. He made him a room in his office and he lived there for two years. This is just one of many shining examples of his character.
Bill was loved deeply and will be missed by his family, he is survived by his wife Linda of Clinton; three sons Bill Shores, Randy Shores, and Gene Shores; one daughter: Alesia Forenz; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; two sisters: Shelby and Molina; four brothers: Jack, Alf, Warren and Carroll; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
