Bill Graves' Obituary
William J. "Bill" Graves, 74, of Camanche, Iowa died Thursday, May 14, 2009 at his home. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 17, 2009 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory from 2PM to 4PM. Cremation will follow the visitation. There will be no service. Bill was born November 16, 1934 in Waterloo, Iowa the son of Fredrick and Anna Viola (Brayton) Graves. He attended the Waterloo Schools. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He retired after 45 years as a truck driver. Bill loved fishing, stock car racing, baseball, football and basketball. Survivors include his children; Bill Graves Jr. of Sterling, IL, Kim of Clinton, IA, Howard (Sandy) Graves of Amarillo, TX, and Fredrick Schwella of Waterloo, IA, step-children; Bob and Vicki Kassel of Camanche, IA, Arnie and Kris Baldwin of Bloomfield, IA, Terry and Zettie Baldwin of Clinton, IA and Toni and Dave Maltek of East Moline, IL; 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to the family.
