Bijan N. Asaadi's Obituary
Bijan Norton Asaadi, 31, of Clinton, Iowa, passed unexpectedly from this life surrounded by his loving family and in the arms of his Aunt "Chippie" on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, in Des Moines, Iowa.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, September 5, 2022, at Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory in Clinton, where the family will greet friends and family from 9:30 am until the service. Deacon Jeff Schuetzle will officiate. Cremation will follow services and inurnment will take place at a later date at Clinton Lawn Cemetery in Clinton.
Bijan was born the son of Kristine "Kris" Marie Schmitz and Masoud Asaadi on November 5, 1990, in Clinton. He had attended Prince of Peace Schools and graduated from Clinton High School in 2009. Bijan had an impeccable memory, and a very bright mind, and imagination. He loved to spend time reading books, listening to music, and taking walks. Bijan also loved 'hanging out' with family and friends, telling stories, and asking questions about some of his readings and studies. His mind was forever working and curious. Bijan worked vigorously at overcoming addictions and mental health. His struggles are now over and burdens have been lifted. Bijan is living his eternal life in the arms of his Father, God, and reunited with his beloved grandpa, Karl Schmitz. He will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived and lovingly remembered by his mother, Kris (Gary) Hensel of Clinton; father, Masoud Asaadi of Clinton; maternal grandmother, Sharon Schmitz of Clinton; halfbrother, Michael Asaadi of Clinton; aunt, Kimberly "Chippie" Kimmer (John “Jay” Clarke) of Urbandale, Iowa; several uncles including, Karl (Debi) Schmitz of Madrid, Iowa and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Marcus Kimmer of Urbandale, and Moe (Jane) Asaadi of Clinton; several cousins including, Dawson Kimmer, Drake Kimmer, Jonathan (Heather) Asaadi, Sheila (Ron) VonThun, and Robert (Heather G.) Asaadi; and a host of many extended family members.
Bijan was preceded into eternal life by his maternal grandfather, and paternal grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to be designated later.
Even though Bijan's life was short lived, we were blessed to have him for as long as we did.
