Beverly Ann Reynolds was born on October 23, 1937 in Clinton, Iowa. She was the daughter of Frederick and Elizabeth (Vickerstaff) Reynolds. In 1955, she graduated from Clinton High School. She married the love of her life William (Bill) D. Specht on November 12, 1977 in Clinton. The love they shared was something like out of a fairytale. Until the day he died (April 23, 2012), Bill lovingly called his sweetheart Charlie.
Beverly worked many jobs as a bookkeeper with employment at Elmwood Dairy, Cook Accounting, Foster Accounting, and Nationwide Engineering. She enjoyed going on her daily walks, reading her Bible, playing the piano and organ, baking, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also loved to share all of her passions with others. Beverly was a prayer warrior. She read her Bible and prayed for all her lengthy list of loved ones by name every day. Beverly never missed a birthday. She sent cards and baked all of her family's favorites for their day. To say she loved her family fiercely is an understatement. She also loved all of her family’s loved ones. No matter who was brought to her door, no one was ever turned away; instead, they, too, received a big hug and probably a cookie or two.
Beverly is survived by her children: Elizabeth (Brent) Buech of Bryant, Iowa and David (Susan) Specht of Charlotte, Iowa; 11 grandchildren: Jason Archer, Justin (Amy) Archer, Jennifer (Chad) Specht, Elizabeth (Paul) Parker, Robin Arey, Megan (Scott) Thoma, Joshua Archer,David (Talesha) Specht, Daniel Specht, Emily (Eli) Schulz, and Brent Buech, Jr; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews: Jeannette, Jennifer, and Timothy Reynolds; and her dear friend: Rose Ward. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother: Richard Reynolds.
