Beverly Sinkey's Obituary
Beverly J. Sinkey, 59, of LeClaire, died Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Thursday, April 3, 2008 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Jean Bruinsma officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ben Snider, Dan Bolte, Joe Dean, Robert Kane, Brian Driscoll, and Gary McDaniel. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:30pm-8:00pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory.
Beverly Jean Snider was born on December 27, 1948 in Ft. Madison, Iowa, the daughter of Delbert and Eunice (Cronk) Snider. She married Daniel Sinkey on August 5, 1972 in Denmark, Iowa.
Bev was a 1967 graduate of Ft. Madison High School. She later graduated from the University of Northern Iowa.
Bev taught 3rd grade at Camanche Elementary School for 35 years retiring in 2006.
Bev was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in LeClaire where she served on many commitees, she also enjoyed playing cards, scrap booking, taking walks and spending quality time with her grandchildren.
Bev is survived by her husband: Daniel of LeClaire; two daughters: Renee (Daniel) Letsch of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota and Erika (Raymond) Shaw of Camanche; four grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Garrett Shaw and Austin and Ethan Letsch; and one brother: Ronald (Marla) Snider of Davenport and a niece and nephew.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society or the American Cancer Society.
