Beverly Reid's Obituary
Beverly I. Reid, 78, of Clinton died Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10:30am Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Visitation will be from 4-7:00pm Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Beverly Ione Chafer was born on June 21, 1931 in Clinton, the daughter of Alfred Thomas and Doris Francis (Williams) Chafer. She was a 1949 Clinton High School Graduate. She married Richard W. Reid on August 19, 1950 in Clinton. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading and bird watching. She is survived by her husband Richard W. Reid of Clinton; 4 children: Richard T. Reid of Camanche, Michael S. Reid of Pleasant Valley, IA, Rebekah L. (Dan) Conner of Clinton, and Jeffrey B. Reid of Clinton; 6 grandchildren: Zachary Peters, Amanda (Bill) Schwegel, Tylere (Kaitlyn) Mueller, Courtney Mueller, Tawnya (Chris) Nissen, and Amanda (Cody) Bingham; 4 great-grandchildren: Austin and Bailee Nissen, Kade Bingham, and Anna Clark; one sister: Janice K. (Ronald) Bruns of Clinton, and one brother: Jon F. Chafer of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be made to the family.
