Betty J. Sanders' Obituary
Betty J. Sanders, 89, of Camanche, died Monday, April 29, 2013 at her home in Camanche.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Betty Jane Barnett was born on January 14, 1924 in Otho, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Ruth (Hart) Barnett. She married Robert Sanders on August 12, 1944 in Waynesville, Missouri.
Betty was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal and also was a cleaning lady at various homes in Clinton and Camanche.
Betty is was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church – Camanche and the Camanche VFW Auxiliary.
Betty is survived by her husband: Robert of Camanche, one son: Harry (Bonnie) Sanders of Clinton; three grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; one sister: Nancy (Bill) Slagle of Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one daughter, three brothers, and three sisters.
Memorials can be made to the Camanche Volunteer Fire Department.
